This Privacy Policy explains how Milodon Labs LLC ("Milodon Labs," "we," "us") handles information in connection with the SmartGhost mobile app ("the App") and the website at milodonlabs.com ("the Site"). We built SmartGhost to collect as little as possible. You do not need an account to use it, and we do not sell your personal information.
The App uses Google Firebase to understand how the App is performing and to fix problems:
If you use the in-app feedback feature, we receive the message you write and, if you choose to provide it, your email address so we can reply. Feedback is associated with an anonymous identifier that represents your app installation, not your identity. This information is only collected if you decide to submit feedback.
SmartGhost includes an optional feature that records a video of your drill so you can review it and share it. When you use it, the App accesses your camera and microphone. These recordings stay on your device. They are saved to the App's local storage and are only sent anywhere if you personally choose to share them through your device's share options (for example, to Messages, email, or another app). We do not receive, store, or have access to your recordings.
We do not use your information for advertising, and the App does not contain third-party ads.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Information is handled by the service providers we use to run the App:
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Milodon Labs.
Analytics and diagnostic data are retained for a limited period consistent with Firebase's default retention settings. Because the App has no login, we generally cannot identify an individual user's analytics data to remove it in isolation. If you have submitted feedback and would like the message and any email address you provided to be deleted, contact us at the address below and we will remove it.
You can stop future analytics collection at any time using the Settings toggle in the App, or by uninstalling the App.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We honor these rights regardless of where you live. To make a request, contact us below.
SmartGhost is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Milodon Labs is based in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Data protection laws in these countries may differ from those in your country.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above and post the updated policy at this URL. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
